In 2005 I decided to form my own petsitting business, Pampered Pets, in Leeds, and have my wonderful clients, super assistants, especially Marion who was my right-hand woman, and Deborah, my secretarial help, not to mention all the fabulous dogs, cats, bunnies, guinea pigs, chickens, etc that we had the privilege to look after, to thank for this series.
A very special thank you, also, to my own precious pooches, Charlie, Dolly and Lucas who were absolutely brilliant with all the dogs we looked after. They never knew who was going to jump into the car on our walks or who was coming home with them to stay but there was never a cross word, just a warm welcome. They are all in doggie heaven now and I do miss them but while they were here, they had a fabulous life with all their friends on our many adventures in Roundhay, Temple Newsam, Golden Acre and Meanwood Parks and the beautiful woods and countryside around Leeds. I have superb memories and thousands of photographs of our time there.
My darling Charlie, whom I rescued when he was around six months old. I had ten wonderful years with him.
Dolly and Lucas. I had walked Dolly (in the front) since she was a puppy and she came to live with me when she was three and 13 when she died. I had also walked Lucas from a puppy and he came to join our family when he was 18 months and was nearly 12 when he went to doggie heaven.
PEESDOWN PARK – BOOK 1
Someone once said to Miranda that if she wanted to make a lot of money, enjoy the outdoors for most of the day and be her own boss, become a professional petsitter. So Miranda did … but it wasn’t all it was cracked up to be.
No-one told her she would have to take her life into her hands with the possibility of bumping into a burglar when walking into people’s empty houses to feed their cats when they were away … or walking dogs in the woods in Peesdown Park where creepy men lurked about … and she had no idea she had to be specifically aware of William … the one man she thought she could trust.
But William was a killer. He had fled the UK after murdering his wealthy parents but now he was back, residing near Peesdown Park, and the locals were blissfully unaware that the nice, friendly old gentleman who had integrated himself into the community so well would soon bring terror to their beautiful, normally peaceful recreation area … and no-one, particularly Miranda, their bubbly petsitter, would be safe for long.

Amazingly fast action in Peesdown Park. Was very entertaining, funny in places and in others, rather scary. It held my interest to the point of being almost impossible to put down. All the characters, including a number of dogs, were very different and well described and also gave insight into the intriguing life of a professional dog walker as well as telling an eerily creepy thriller.
Fabulous. Will they, won’t they? A crime thriller with a good story and not too much in the way of extreme violence.
A great read: Great characters and totally engrossing.
